Terms and Conditions

This Agreement outlines the terms and conditions governing the services provided by Cleaning the Scene (the "Service Provider") to the client (the "Client"). By initiating service with the Service Provider, the Client agrees to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Services and Payment

1.1. Service Cost

The cost of service is determined based on factors including but not limited to location, number of pets, yard size, and frequency of visits.

1.2. Prepayment and Billing

Services are provided on a prepaid, monthly basis. The monthly service fee is due on the first day of each month for that month's services (e.g., May 1st for May services). The monthly rate is calculated by multiplying the weekly rate by 52 weeks, then dividing by 12 months.

1.3. New Client Proration

For new clients, the first invoice will be prorated to reflect the remaining service days in the current month.

1.4. Payment Methods

The Service Provider requires a valid credit card on file for automatic monthly billing. Charges will be applied on the first day of each month. In some cases, e-transfer payments may be accepted, but payment must be received in full before services begin for the month.

1.5. Late Payment Policy

To ensure uninterrupted service, payments are due on the first day of each month. If payment is not received by this date, service will be temporarily suspended. Service will resume once the full payment is received. If full payment is not received by the second scheduled service date of the month, service will be permanently terminated.

2. Text/SMS Messages

By providing your phone number, you, the Client, consent to receive text messages from the Service Provider for service-related reminders, updates, and announcements. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. You may reply STOP to cancel or HELP for assistance.

3. Service Rescheduling and Access

3.1. Required Service Rescheduling

· Inclement Weather Policy: The Service Provider reserves the right to cancel or reschedule service due to hazardous weather conditions for the safety of its staff. The regular weekly fee will still apply, and the Service Provider will perform an extended cleaning on the next scheduled visit to compensate for the missed service.

· Holiday Schedule: Service schedules will be adjusted around major holidays. The regular fee will still apply for the subsequent service visit.

3.2. Pet Safety

For the safety of both pets and staff, all pets must be confined away from the service area during the scheduled visit.

3.3. Yard Access

The Client is responsible for ensuring the Service Provider's staff can access the yard. Obstructions or locked gates that prevent access will result in the regular fee still being charged due to the increased workload on the next visit. Access through a home is not permitted; access must be available through a garage or gate.

4. Service Limitations and Liabilities

4.1. Waste Removal Policy

The Service Provider removes only solid waste. Diarrhea or waste that may indicate a health concern will not be handled, and the Client will be notified to seek veterinary care for their pet if necessary.

4.2. Service Area Conditions

The Service Provider requires clear visibility to perform its service effectively. Areas beneath trampolines, within dense underbrush, or behind obstacles posing a safety risk are excluded from service. An additional upcharge will be applied for waste removal from rock or gravel surfaces.

4.3. Liability

The Service Provider will take all reasonable precautions to secure the Client's property after each service visit. The Service Provider is not liable for any issues arising from the Client's failure to adhere to the terms of this Agreement.

5. Service Suspension and Termination

The Client must provide 48 hours' written notice via text or email to either pause or terminate service. Written notice is required to receive a credit toward the next month's service (for paused service) or to terminate service. Refunds for partial months are not issued.

6. Agreement to and Revisions of Terms

6.1. Agreement to Terms

By initiating service with Cleaning the Scene, the Client acknowledges and agrees to all terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement, including but not limited to property access and billing practices.

6.2. Revisions to Terms

The Service Provider reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. It is the Client's responsibility to review these terms periodically for any updates.
